A human woman in her mid-40s, tall, with dark gray hair worn in a tight bun and the robes of the Brotherhood. She keeps an Abjuration globe on her desk that functions as a light (and, the party suspected, a truth-ward).

=== Role in Campaign ===
In the first sitting of [[Session 47 - The Sea of Moving Ice|Session 47]] (2026-02-01), the party came to the [[Host Tower of the Arcane]] seeking word of [[Maccath the Crimson]]. Zelene recounted the researcher's fate from the Brotherhood's records: Maccath had gone north roughly three years earlier to study [[Arauthator]] ("Old White Death") and the [[Draakhorn]]; she continued sending magical messages for weeks after she stopped returning, the last reporting that she believed she had found the dragon's glacier lair; nothing had been heard since, and two Brotherhood search parties sent after her were lost. Zelene warned of the Sea of Moving Ice's lethal cold and authorized the Host Tower to sell the party cold-weather magic "at cost," with a buy-back arranged on their return.
