The Ashen Covenant was first revealed in [[Session 38 - Now We Have a Hoard|Session 38]], when Deez Nuts encountered and slew Vaartox the Red. The battle was fierce, demonstrating the incredible danger posed by even one member of the covenant.

With Vaartox's death, the covenant has been reduced to four dragons, but the remaining members continue to pose a significant threat to the region and the party.
