Opportunistic by nature, she preferred to stalk caravans, adventurers, and wounded monsters already softened by the region's perils. A cruel delight in the ''chill of surprise'' guided her tactics: she watched from blizzard cover, glided low with sleet clinging to her scales, and struck when foes were exhausted, divided, or overconfident.
