'''Ostrand''' is the bridge-keeper of [[Boareskyr Bridge]]. For '''twenty years''' he has manned the bridge station, keeping the books on everything that crosses the bridge north and south and everything that moves east and west on the [[Winding Water]] — a copper a head to cross, two after dark.

Ostrand had a bad day in [[Session 54 - Serpents at Boareskyr Bridge (2026-08-30)|Session 54]]: two [[Yuan-ti]] infiltrators killed in his street, an '''anathema''' out of his river ("I've been here at this bridge for 20 years… we've never had anything as bad as the anathema show up"), and a party of strangers who kept attacking hooded pilgrims and then explaining themselves very badly ([[Shade]]: "I attack first and ask questions later"). He rallied: with the party's help promised — [[The Anvil]] inbound, [[Carl]] staying — he undertook to talk the crossing's privacy-loving traffic into keeping '''hoods down''' until the protection arrived, and he broke up the standoff between the party and the [[Cult of the Dragon]] "travelers" before steel was drawn.
