Otho has run the inn for years and knows the crossing's history as well as anyone but [[Ostrand]]. He polishes mugs with a too-dirty rag, pours a fair sarsaparilla (10 silver), and warms to anyone who buys the house a round — "I like your all style." He was the party's first storyteller at the bridge: it was Otho who told them of the '''dwarf in purple robes''' who stabbed a hooded [[Yuan-ti]] spy through the eye at one of his own tables, and who led the toast to "'''Varram, the hero of Boareskyr Bridge'''."

After [[Deez Nuts]] unmasked the remaining yuan-ti infiltrators and killed the anathema in the street, [[Gootcha]] recruited him into "the information-sharing squad." Otho put it together himself — "Oh, the Harpers! Is that how y'all knew the yuan-ti were gonna be here?" — and signed on gladly: he now tracks what moves through Boareskyr Bridge and passes it to the network, its first standing eyes on the [[Trade Way]] north of the Chionthar. His first round for the party after the anathema fell was on the house.
