Langdedrosa Cyanwrath
Langdedrosa Cyanwrath
A formidable half-blue dragon warrior and officer of the Cult of the Dragon, **Langdedrosa Cyanwrath** is infamous for his arrogance, cruelty, and obsession with proving draconic superiority through combat. He first appeared during the Siege of Greenest, where he issued a public challenge to the defenders of the town.
Appearance
Langdedrosa is tall, muscular, and covered in blue scales that shimmer with faint static. His reptilian eyes glow with faint arcs of electricity. He carries himself with the confidence of one born to rule, his every motion echoing the pride and volatility of the blue dragons from which he descends.
Background
A devout follower of Tiamat, Langdedrosa believes that dragons and their kin were destined to dominate the lesser races. He rose quickly through the ranks of the Cult, distinguishing himself as both a warrior and a propagandist, using duels and public displays of violence to terrify opposition and inspire cult loyalty.
Though loyal to the Cult’s cause, he sees other non-draconic leaders such as Frulam Mondath and Rezmir as necessary but inferior allies. His reverence is reserved only for dragons and the Dragon Queen herself.
Role in Campaign
During the Siege of Greenest, Langdedrosa challenged any defender brave enough to face him in single combat. Xanphina answered that call and, after a fierce and electrifying duel, defeated him before the eyes of both the Cult and Greenest’s survivors. His defeat marked a symbolic victory for the defenders and a morale blow to the raiders.
While presumed dead, some whispers suggest that the Cult’s higher-ranking clerics may have recovered his body for resurrection or experimentation.
Abilities
Langdedrosa’s half-dragon lineage grants him resistance to lightning and the ability to unleash a breath weapon of crackling energy. He fights with a greatsword crackling with elemental fury, and his aura of intimidation can unnerve even hardened warriors.
Relationships
- Frulam Mondath – His commanding officer during the Greenest raid.
- Rezmir – A superior he begrudgingly respects for her ruthlessness.
- Lennithon – The dragon he believes exemplifies draconic perfection, though he resents the creature’s enslavement.
- Xanphina – The adventurer who bested him in honorable combat.
DM Notes (Spoilers)
- Cyanwrath’s defeat was not final. The Cult may attempt to resurrect or magically clone him as a symbol of vengeance during the *Rise of Tiamat* campaign.
- He may later appear as a revenant or draconic champion empowered by Tiamat herself.
- His lightning-infused greatsword could be recovered by the Cult or surface in later quests as a cursed relic.
