Varram the White

A dwarven Wyrmspeaker of the Cult of the Dragon, Varram the White is one of the cult's most powerful leaders and the keeper of the White Dragon Mask. However, he has reportedly lost the mask and is desperately searching for it - making him a prime target for Deez Nuts and the Waterdeep Council.

Background

Varram the White holds the exalted rank of Wyrmspeaker within the Cult of the Dragon, one of five elite leaders who each represent one of the chromatic dragon colors. As the White Wyrmspeaker, he is responsible for coordinating the cult's operations involving white dragons and wielding the White Dragon Mask - a powerful artifact needed for the ritual to summon Tiamat.

Despite his high rank, Varram has suffered a catastrophic failure: he has lost the White Dragon Mask. This loss represents a significant setback for the cult's plans, as the dragon masks are essential components of the summoning ritual. The cult's leadership is displeased, and Varram is now frantically searching to recover the mask before his failure becomes terminal.

Quest: Capture Varram and the White Dragon Mask

During the Council of Waterdeep meeting, Remalia Haventree revealed that the Harpers' spy network had picked up intelligence about Varram's predicament. This presents a unique opportunity:

  • Varram is actively searching for the lost White Dragon Mask
  • Capturing Varram could yield valuable intelligence about the cult
  • Recovering the White Dragon Mask would prevent the cult from using it in their ritual
  • The Harpers don't know exactly how many masks the cult needs, but removing one would significantly disrupt their plans

The best intelligence available indicates that Varram was last seen at Boareskyr Bridge, presumably following leads on the mask's location.
