Iskralathrax was an adult white dragon known for her opportunistic tactics and nomadic hunting style across the Sword Coast North. Rather than defending a single lair, she roamed like a winter storm-in-waiting, claiming temporary hoards wherever opportunity presented itself.
Background
Born from an ice-shrouded clutch high on the slopes of the Spine of the World, Iskralathrax learned early that survival favors the quick and the clever as much as the strong. Rather than stake a single lair and defend it to the death, this adult white dragon roamed the Sword Coast North like a winter storm-in-waiting, claiming temporary hoards in abandoned dwarf-holds, frozen shipwrecks along Icewind Bay, or glacier-carved caverns—wherever the trophies of her last ambush would dazzle beneath hoarfrost.
Opportunistic by nature, she preferred to stalk caravans, adventurers, and wounded monsters already softened by the region's perils. A cruel delight in the chill of surprise guided her tactics: she watched from blizzard cover, glided low with sleet clinging to her scales, and struck when foes were exhausted, divided, or overconfident. Legend says she could taste fear on the wind like fresh-fallen snow.
Interactions with the Cult
Recently, Iskralathrax had taken to shadowing Cult of the Dragon raiding bands—pouncing once they'd weakened settlements and filled wagons with treasure. The cultists cursed her as "the Frost-Tongue who steals Tiamat's tithe," but dared not confront her.
Final Battle
Iskralathrax made the poor decision to attack the Giant's flying castle (Skyreach Castle) where she was brought down by a Stone Giant's boulder and finished by the sneakiest sneak attacks of all time by Gootch.
The location of her hoards remains unknown at this time.
Remains
Karma was able to successfully harvest scales from Iskralathrax's corpse to be used in the construction of a set of armor. One of her horns has magical properties that could be used by a skilled artificer.
