Session 22 – The Fate of the Dragon Eggs (11/19/23)

Summary
The party began still within the **Cave of Dragon Eggs**, faced with a morally questionable breakfast buffet of three black dragon eggs. After some discussion, the group decided to **eat two** of the eggs and **keep one**. The reasons? Unclear, but the vibes were right. **Bruder** took on the burden of carrying the remaining 150 lb egg himself.
As they made their way out of the cave, they encountered a few lingering cultists and ultimately **Frulam Mondath**, one of the camp’s senior leaders. Mondath was disillusioned—her plans in ruins after **Langdedrosa Cyanwrath**’s death, the dragon eggs compromised, and her superior **Rezmir** nowhere in sight. She offered the party a deal: return her *bug-out bag* (the expensive loot they found in her trapped chest within the Dragon Shrine), and she’d disappear quietly.
The party declined her offer and instead opted for murder. Justice, or possibly habit. With Mondath dead, the Cult’s Greenest operation was officially dismantled.
Back in **Greenest**, **Governor Nighthill** thanked the heroes for eliminating the immediate threat. He rewarded them **450 gold pieces** for their efforts. When asked about the loot recovered from the cultists, the party denied having found anything—despite evidence to the contrary. He also examined the map found in Mondath’s quarters, noting that the arrow traced the **Trade Way**, a major road leading north toward **Beregost**.
Finally, Nighthill delivered a **letter from Leosin Erlanthar**, inviting the party to meet him at the **Pair of Black Antlers Tavern** in **Elturel**. He provided horses (and, unknowingly, a wagon to carry the dragon egg) for the journey.
