The Ashtongue
The Ashtongue is the last shaman of the old orc clans — an exile sought by Xanphina on the charge of Garmok the Chainbearer's spirit, for she alone is said to keep the Rite of Sundering that could mend the infernal rift beneath Garmok's Mine. She has not yet been found.
The Charge
In Session 45, the spirit of Garmok the Chainbearer appeared to Xanphina before the party left the mine. He confessed that he had failed his vigil — the rift he died trying to seal remains open, "a wound carved not by steel, but by hungers older than breath," beyond any mortal hand to close. To mend it, he said, she must seek the one who still listens:
"Find the Ash-Tongue, last shaman of the old clans. Find the one who speaks the words that burn the throat. Find the one exiled from the Firepeaks for seeing too much."
