The bestiary's overview of dragonkind. Each true dragon is known by its colour (the chromatic, cruel servants of Tiamat) or its metal (the metallic, who oppose her). Colour tells you almost everything that matters in a fight — the element it breathes and the element it cannot be harmed by. Age tells you the rest. — Agent Wren
Chromatic dragons
The five colours the company has met or studied. Each breathes, and is immune to, a single element; all share a dragon's terror, its keen senses, its flight, and a few defiances of magic.

Metallic dragons
Rarer, and not always enemies. The company has dealt fairly with Verithrax, an adult bronze dragon (lightning) of the Sea of Moving Ice, who guided them but would not face Arauthator. A full dossier waits until the company has cause to fight one.
