Bronze Blades

The Bronze Blades are an adventuring party operating in the Sword Coast, commissioned by Marshal Older Ravenguard of Baldur's Gate to fight the Cult of the Dragon.

Overview

The Bronze Blades are a five-member adventuring party consisting of Sir Cedric (paladin leader), Thistle (bard), Sister Alira (cleric), Boomer (spellcaster), and Whisper (rogue). While earnest and brave, they have a tendency to find themselves in over their heads, requiring rescue by more experienced adventurers—particularly Deez Nuts.

Despite their sometimes questionable tactical decisions, Marshal Ravenguard has confirmed that the Bronze Blades' work disrupting cult operations has been "invaluable" to the overall effort against the Cult of the Dragon.

Campaign Involvement

The Bronze Blades first encountered Deez Nuts in Session 42 on the road to Baldur's Gate, where they were being overwhelmed by dragon cultists. After rescue, Sir Cedric attempted to claim credit and loot, though Xanphina intimidated him into sharing.

During the Council of Waterdeep (Session 43), Shade asked if Deez Nuts could eliminate the Bronze Blades. Marshal Ravenguard defended them and ordered Deez Nuts to assist the Bronze Blades if encountered.

Later in Session 43, the Bronze Blades were found in Garmok's Mine, again being overwhelmed by cultists. Deez Nuts rescued them, and the combined parties fought through the mine together.

In Session 44, both parties worked together to defeat Voaraghamanthar the black dragon and clear the infernal devils from the mine. Sister Alira's healing and Boomer's See Invisibility spell proved crucial to success.

In Session 45, the Bronze Blades fought alongside Deez Nuts against the Mind Gobbler aberration in the Underdark.

Reputation

The Bronze Blades have a mixed reputation—they declare victory in verse, attempt "strategic retreats," and often need rescue. However, their dedication to fighting the cult and their successes (often with help) have earned them respect from Marshal Ravenguard and grudging acceptance from Deez Nuts.
