The Harpers' Read
A flameskull is a murdered mage's skull bound to guard a place, wreathed in green fire. It flings fire-bolts and fire and can loose a true fireball, sees in the dark, and shrugs off ordinary weapons. Worse, it rekindles — break it and it knits back together within hours unless you cleanse the bone with holy water or break the curse. Bring magic to hurt it and a way to keep it from reforming, or you will fight it twice.
