The Harpers' Read
A ghoul is hunger given claws. Its danger is its touch: a raked wound can lock a victim rigid, frozen and helpless while the pack feeds (those of elven blood shrug the paralysis off). One ghoul is a nuisance; a pack is a killing floor, because the first to be paralysed becomes easy meat. Drop the ones that have a friend pinned, and keep no one isolated.
