The Harpers' Read
A zombie is slow and witless, but hard to put fully down — a blow that should fell it may leave it crawling on, for the dark magic that moves it knits the body together. Destroy the head, or burn it, or break it with radiant and holy power, to be sure it stays still. One is easy to outpace; a horde is a wall of grasping dead that wears you down by sheer persistence.
Encounters of Record
Hordes of them defended the deeps of Wave Echo Cave beside the flameskull (11); the party met the walking dead earlier at Thundertree (8).
