Eruption of Mount Hotenow

The Eruption of Mount Hotenow — in 1451 DR, the fire-mountain north of Neverwinter erupted and blanketed the surrounding region in ash.

The prosperous logging and farming village of Thundertree, on the edge of the Neverwinter Wood, was buried; its survivors were driven away, and in the decades since, nature — and darker things — have reclaimed its ruins. The green dragon Venomfang laired in the ruined tower there when Deez Nuts came to Thundertree in 1488 DR (Session 8).
