Properties
When a creature is killed by this crossbow, they cannot be resurrected by any means. Their soul is claimed by the Raven Queen and sent to the Shadowfell. This makes it an ideal weapon for fulfilling Gootcha's pact to return the souls of Rath Modar and Rezmir to the Raven Queen.
History
Gootcha found this crossbow in the Temple of Lost Souls after the Raven Queen offered her a pact. The weapon serves as both a gift and a tool for fulfilling the pact's requirements—returning stolen souls to the Shadowfell. When the party interrogated a 250-year-old assassin who claimed to have been resurrected many times by the Cult of the Dragon, he was disbelieving when told about the crossbow's power. Gootcha later used it to send him directly to the Raven Queen.
