A dense forest west of the Hill of Lost Souls where Veylan Duskbane's tomb lies hidden within the skull of the ancient black dragon Nythrazhul.
Overview
The Forest of Wyrms (also called the Wyrmwood) is a dangerous woodland filled with ancient trees and deadly creatures. Deep within the forest lies the tomb of the legendary dragon hunter Veylan Duskbane, built within the skull of Nythrazhul, the Plague of the Emerald Vale—a colossal black dragon that Veylan slew over 700 years ago. The forest is watched over by druids of the Emerald Enclave, who maintain a druid circle at its edge. Recently, Cult of the Dragon activity has increased in the area as cultists seek to corrupt or recruit dragons to their cause.

- Thalara Mistgrove – Druid of the Scales of Eldath at the druid circle
- Nythrazhul – The ancient black dragon whose skull became Veylan's tomb (deceased)
- Vaartox the Red – Red dragon who made Veylan's tomb his lair (slain by the party)
Campaign Events
Keyleth's pixie swarm led the party to the Forest of Wyrms, answering the call of Veylan Duskbane's spirit. Along the way, the party encountered bandits, druids of the Emerald Enclave, and Cult of the Dragon forces. They discovered Veylan's tomb and helped his spirit defeat Vaartox the Red. The party also encountered deadly Sporeshade Myconids and a Glade Gorger, from which Karma harvested alchemical components.
