Banneret Tamsin Firstlight is an officer of the militant Dawnbringers, holding the rank of Banneret of the Dawn. She commanded the supply caravan that Deez Nuts saved at the Battle of Nuts Deep, and she brought Baelgrum into the order.
The Battle of Nuts Deep [1]
Firstlight's caravan was carrying secret war supplies for Elturel when a Cult of the Dragon force ran it down on the eastern road — undead, a wight, a necromancer, a dragonborn cultist, and two blue dragon wyrmlings. The caravan fled for the fort and the company destroyed the pursuit from the walls [1].
She took the fort's name in good part. On hearing it: "Well, that is well named… words of Deez Nuts, Nuts Deep will strike fear into the hearts of our enemies."
Recruiting Baelgrum
Firstlight sensed Baelgrum's "strong connection to Lathander" without being told of it, heard his account of Goldenfields and his years of cult-hunting, and made the offer where they stood: "We would be honored if you would join our ranks."
He accepted on one condition — that his squire come too. She sensed at once that Rogar was also a follower of the Morninglord, and admitted them both. Given Baelgrum's deeds she ruled that he would not begin at the order's lowest rank, and directed him to call at one of the order's temples in Elturel for the symbols and items fitting his standing.
What she owes them
She promised to carry the deed to her superiors and to High Overseer Thavius Kreeg himself, and made the company an open offer: "Anything that you need that is within our ability to give, just let us know and it will be yours." Elturel's craftsmen and supplies began arriving at Nuts Deep shortly afterward.
She also told them what her caravan had been carrying: the Dawnbringers and Elturel's Hellriders are jointly stockpiling supplies and magic items in the city against the coming battles with Tiamat.
Her name
Firstlight is a devotional byname, taken at her swearing rather than inherited — a common practice in the order (see Dawnbringers).
