Yeemik
Yeemik
Yeemik is the self-styled “Regional Manager” of the goblins who inhabited the Goblin Cave (Cragmaw Hideout). A scheming and opportunistic goblin, he rose to leadership by outliving his rivals and weaponizing bureaucratic language in a den of chaos.
Background
In Session 02 – The Goblin Lair Negotiations, the adventurers encountered Yeemik holding Sildar Hallwinter hostage while commanding his loyal goblins — and his pet carrion crawler, Bruce. His leadership style, marked by micromanagement and survival instincts, briefly kept his underlings in line until he attempted to bargain for power and gold.
When the adventurers negotiated with him, Yeemik offered to exchange Sildar’s life for the head of his rival (the so-called Regional Director), a transaction emblematic of goblin corporate culture at its worst. The party ultimately fulfilled his demand but later slew him in the ensuing chaos.
Relationships
- Sildar Hallwinter – Held captive and nearly executed for leverage.
- Cragmaw Tribe – Yeemik’s larger tribal affiliation, under the command of King Grol at Cragmaw Castle.
- Bruce – His beloved carrion crawler and emotional-support monster.
Current Status
Slain during the confrontation in Session 02 – The Goblin Lair Negotiations. His brief reign as Regional Manager of the Cragmaw Hideout ended in thunderous ruin.
Appearances
- Session 02 – The Goblin Lair Negotiations – Appears as the goblin leader; killed during the encounter.
<details><summary>🧩 DM Notes (Spoilers)</summary>
Truth: Yeemik was a minor but ambitious member of the Cragmaw Tribe who dreamed of overthrowing King Grol. His dealings with the adventurers could have evolved into a dangerous alliance had he survived.
Foreshadowing:
- The Cragmaw goblins’ increasing organization hints at outside influence — likely the Black Spider or early activity from agents tied to the Cult of the Dragon.
- Yeemik’s corporate parody demeanor can echo in future encounters with more structured evil factions, foreshadowing the cult’s bureaucratic fanaticism in Rise of Tiamat.
