Raven Queen
The Goddess of Death, ruler of the Shadowfell, and patron of Gootcha. She appears as a tall, veiled woman made of flowing black silk and swirling mist, with a pale featureless mask.
Background
The Raven Queen is a powerful deity who rules over death, fate, and the passage of souls to the afterlife. She resides in the Shadowfell and has dominion over the souls of the dead. Death cultists who worship her protect her temples, though whether temples are active or abandoned varies.
Role in Campaign
The Raven Queen made contact with Gootcha at the Temple of Lost Souls, offering a pact in exchange for power. She demanded that Gootcha return the souls of Rath Modar and Rezmir to the Shadowfell, as the Cult of the Dragon has been stealing souls that belong to her. This pact strengthened Gootcha's connection to her Phantom Rogue abilities. Gootcha has since made a habit of sending the souls of those she kills to the Raven Queen's domain (see her page).
