Deez Nuts

Deez Nuts is the name of the adventuring party currently undertaking the quest to stop the Cult of the Dragon from raising Tiamat. The party consists of six members, each with unique skills and faction affiliations. As of Session 53 the company is level 9 and holds the fort of Nuts Deep outside Elturel as its stronghold and crafting bastion.

Party Members

• Baelgrum - Dwarf cult-hunter and divine spellcaster from Goldenfields; bound into the party in Session 50 in place of Alexios; sworn into the Dawnbringers in Session 53
• Karma - Tabaxi Druid, Circle of the Moon, Emerald Enclave (Scales of Eldath) member
• Keyleth - Wood Elf Ranger, Swarmkeeper, Emerald Enclave member — and the prophesied Thorn-Born Star
• Shade - Tiefling spellcaster, Zhentarim member
• Gootcha - Half-Elf Rogue, blessed by the Raven Queen, Harpers member
• Xanphina - Orc Barbarian, Path of the Ancestral Guardian, Order of the Gauntlet member (a half-orc until she was reforged in the Hells in S50)

Former member: Alexios - Human Paladin, Oath of Vengeance, devoted to Athena; his soul could not be retrieved from the Hells in Session 50 and he departed the party.

The company also travels with Carl (a conscripted Luskan bosun turned Arcane Archer and catapult gunner, level 7) and maintains six faction-assigned squires who garrison Nuts Deep.

Interactions with The Bronze Blades

In their legendary quest to save the Sword Coast, Deez Nuts has had the honor—and occasional challenge—of operating alongside The Bronze Blades, another adventuring company of considerable renown. Both elite groups have earned the trust and commissions of Lord Ulder Ravengard of Baldur's Gate, creating a relationship that could best be described as professionally competitive.

The Bronze Blades are led by the charismatic Sir Cedric Lightbringer, a human paladin whose battlefield coordination is matched only by his talent for securing lucrative contracts. His team includes Thistle Quickfoot (a halfling bard whose charm offensive has been known to resolve conflicts before they begin), Whisper Willowshade (a half-elf rogue with infiltration skills that are... admittedly quite impressive), Boddynock "Boomer" Cogsprocket (a gnome artificer whose explosive solutions occasionally solve problems that definitely existed), and Silster Elira (a half-orc cleric whose healing prowess keeps the team remarkably intact despite Boomer's enthusiasm).

The two companies first crossed paths during a joint operation against the Cult of the Dragon, where both groups demonstrated their respective combat expertise. The Bronze Blades' tactical coordination was... undeniably effective, their execution was precise, and their victory was legitimate. This did not escape Deez Nuts' notice.

Since that fateful encounter, a friendly rivalry has blossomed—one might even call it a mutual professional appreciation tinged with the kind of healthy competition that emerges when two groups of exceptional adventurers find themselves working the same contracts. When Lord Ravengard assigns complementary missions, both companies bring their considerable skills to bear: Deez Nuts with their diverse faction connections and proven track record of impossible victories, and The Bronze Blades with their surgical precision and unfortunate habit of accomplishing objectives with maddening efficiency.

The relationship remains cordial, professional, and marked by the kind of respect that warriors show to worthy rivals. After all, when you're both in the business of saving the world from dragon cults, there's plenty of glory to go around. Though Deez Nuts would be the first to remind you that they defeated a black dragon and recovered Garmok's Flail, while The Bronze Blades are still dining out on that one time they found a lost calf.

The saga of these two legendary companies continues to unfold, each mission adding another chapter to their respective tales of heroism—with Deez Nuts naturally securing the more impressive footnotes in the annals of history.

Major Accomplishments

• Completed the Lost Mine of Phandelver campaign arc
• Defeated the black dragon Voaraghamanthar
• Recovered Garmok's Flail and other legendary items
• Participated in the Council of Waterdeep
• Slew the ancient white dragon Arauthator, "Old White Death," in his lair at Oyaviggaton (Session 50)
• Broke the blood-red coin curse and cured the city of Luskan (Session 51)
• Granted, named, and successfully defended the fort of Nuts Deep — annihilating a Cult undead strike force and saving a secret Elturel supply caravan in the Battle of Nuts Deep (Session 53)

Campaign Arc

The party is currently engaged in the Rise of Tiamat campaign arc, working to prevent the Cult of the Dragon from summoning the five-headed dragon goddess Tiamat into the material plane. Reforged by an infernal bargain with Lady Calera, they now hold Nuts Deep outside Elturel, are spending a week of downtime standing up its bastion facilities, and next march north to Boareskr Bridge on the trail of the Wyrmspeaker Varram the White.

Faction Connections

The party has strong connections to multiple major factions — and as of S53 has reached rank 3 renown across the board. Two of those promotions have been conferred, each bringing a standing body of faction personnel with it:

• Emerald Enclave - Through Karma (Scales of Eldath) and Keyleth (Talons of Veylan)
• Harpers - Through Gootcha, now Ciphermaster, who runs The Nightingales out of Nuts Deep
• Order of the Gauntlet - Through Xanphina, now Hammer of Light, to whom The Anvil is lent
• Zhentarim - Through Shade
• Dawnbringers - Through Baelgrum (joined S53)
