The Harpers' Read

A sea hag fights through fear and slaves, not strength. Its Death Glare can kill a soul that is already frightened, so the first rule is plain: do not let your people be afraid near it, and break any fear the moment it takes hold. It rarely fights alone — it binds thralls (drowned sailors, Merrow, worse) and spends them without care, and its magic shatters when the hag dies, freeing whatever it enslaved. Kill the crone and the fight usually ends with it.

Encounters of Record

The company has ended sea hags twice. One ambushed their ship north with a Water Elemental and a band of Merrow thralls; when the hag fell the spell broke and the freed merrow turned grateful (39). Later a coven of three set upon the Frost Skimmer in the Sea of Moving Ice — the bronze dragon Verithrax unmade the last with a bolt of lightning (47).
