Hrimther

Hrimther is a Frost Giant who was slain by Arauthator and frozen as a trophy in the dragon's lair at Oyaviggaton, until Deez Nuts revived him in Session 48. He joined the party's assault on Old White Death. (Name heard variously as "Rimther"/"Hrimther"; spelling uncertain.)

Background

Long ago, Hrimther fought Arauthator out on a glacier and was killed — the dragon struck from the air and slew him despite his innate immunity to cold — then froze his body among the conquered enemies displayed in the lair's trophy chambers. Giants and dragons have been ancestral enemies for thousands of years.

Revival

Finding Hrimther the least-damaged of the frozen giants, the party thawed him with "circle magic" (Alexios's Burning Hands augmented by donated spell slots) and Karma brought him back with Revivify (the lair's flash-freeze having preserved the body like Gentle Repose). Restored and healed, Hrimther pledged "You have my axe" and joined the assault.

Intelligence on Arauthator

Hrimther warned the party from his own death: Arauthator is fast, conjures an ice elemental to fight beside him, warps the battlefield with terrain and illusion spells, and is deadly even to a cold-immune foe.
