Ralph is an ice troll leader in the caverns of Oyaviggaton who, with his fellows Gunner and Blade, allied with Deez Nuts against Arauthator in Session 48.
Background
The ice trolls dwell in Arauthator's lair under the dragon's fear, not his loyalty, and hate "Old White Death." Ralph is eager to fight him. He distinguishes his cold-attuned ice trolls sharply from the Scrags — aquatic troll-kin who genuinely serve Arauthator as "true believers" — insisting the Scrags are no relation.
Role in Campaign
The party won Ralph over through diplomacy. Ralph, Gunner, and Blade agreed to join the assault on Arauthator in exchange for magic weapons (the party traded away a Corpseslayer Mace, a Dagger of Venom, and the Glimmering Moonbow — only "better than +1" weapons would do). Gunner and Blade had been guarding Maccath the Crimson's study and let the party pass.
