Taern Thunderspells Hornblade (also referred to as Tearn Thunderspells Hornblade) is the former High Mage of Silverymoon and representative at the Council of Waterdeep.
Background
As former High Mage of Silverymoon, Taern brings significant magical expertise to the council. While described as "pretentious," his magical knowledge and the power Silverymoon's mages can bring to the fight make him a valuable ally.
Role in Campaign
At the Council of Waterdeep in Session 43, Taern was particularly troubled when Deez Nuts revealed that Rath Modar and Rezmir had both been resurrected. The involvement of the Red Wizards in trying to bring Tiamat back from Avernus deeply concerned him, as it suggested the cult had access to powerful necromantic allies.
Personality
Taern is described as pretentious, likely due to his high magical position and accomplishments. However, his expertise is genuine and valuable.
