Renown Tracker

Per-character renown with each faction and patron, mirroring the campaign renown worksheet and the Faction Boons — DM Guide. Renown accrues from deeds; crossing a threshold raises a character's rank, which unlocks a boon. Tracked separately from coalition standing — see the Faction Support Tracker. (Synced through Session 52, July 2026. Where the handbooks and the session logs disagree, the logs win — see reconciliation notes.)

"Achieved" is the rank a track's renown total has earned. "Conferred" is what has actually been granted in play (with its boon). Where Achieved exceeds Conferred, a promotion and boon are pending.

Order of the Gauntlet — Xanphina

Gain: protect innocents (especially at personal cost), destroy cultists/fiends/undead, act honorably, lead with moral clarity, expose corruption, place duty above gain. Lose: deceit, cowardice, cruelty.

Dawnbringers (militant order) — Baelgrum

Gain: destroy undead & fiends, break curses and infernal corruption, bring hope to the fearful, protect innocents, hunt the Cult, keep faith and oaths. Lose: consort with/raise/spare undead & fiends, spread despair, act from pride/cruelty/vengeance, let evil prosper, break faith. Full boon text on DM:Faction Renown Feats.

Above the ranks stands the Dawnbreaker, head of the militant order (capstone boon "Dawn's Return" — held in reserve).

Patron / order tracks without a boon ladder

Compact (Shade), Compact (Party), Orc Ancestors (Xanphina), and the Raven Queen (Gootcha) have renown but no rank ladder yet. Define per-rank boons so their pending promotions have something to grant. The two Compact ladders should differ: Compact (Shade) a prophecy-themed ladder (foresight / infernal insight hinting at what Dispater wants from her); Compact (Party) a plainer "favor owed / favor granted" ladder tied to the Operation the Compact obliges.

Reconciliation notes

• Compact split (S50): the old single "Devils" track is now two. Compact (Shade) carries all pre-S50 infernal renown (it was only ever Shade's) and remains her personal, prophecy-linked track — Zarchelia and Dispater have a specific interest in Shade (see DM:The Elturel Gambit). Compact (Party) is the shared Compact of Restoration and Continuance, beginning S50 when all six sign; Shade sits on both.
• Dawnbringers / Baelgrum: new track from S50. To accelerate his path to Banneret after joining late, his positive renown is doubled; negatives count at face value. His S50–52 deeds net +14 → Rank 2 (Aster Knight), pending conferral. Ladder now defined (see boons above and DM:Faction Renown Feats).
• Gauntlet & Harpers rescoped: both were over-credited (a reflexive +1 on nearly every good deed). Now the Order of the Gauntlet scores only for destroying evil openly, protecting innocents at cost, honor, and exposing corruption; the Harpers only for intel, exposing plots, recruiting, and averting bloodshed. Peace-brokering, Underdark repairs, and straight combat no longer award them by default.
• Emerald Enclave — unavoidable kills: Karma (Scales of Eldath) takes no penalty for killing an actively hostile evil dragon when no peace was available (Voaraghamanthar S44, Arauthator S50 both scored neutral for her). She still loses for genuinely needless death (Redbeard, the ice-hunter patrol).
• Contested rows (need a DM ruling): the ice-hunter patrol (S47) and the Bronze Blades frame (S51). The Rook execution (S52) is settled — Gauntlet, both Enclave wings, and the Dawnbringers approve of it as denying the Cult a resurrection.
• Pending promotions: Gauntlet, Talons, Harpers, Scales, and Orc Ancestors all crossed into Rank 3; Baelgrum awaits his first conferral (Aster Knight); Raven Queen and Compact (Shade) are pending at Rank 2; Compact (Party) at Rank 1. That is a lot of owed boons — consider conferring them across sessions rather than all at once.
• Athena / Alexios: frozen at 22 (Rank 3) when his soul was lost in S50. Needs a DM ruling on transfer/freeze/close.
• Enclave wings (retained): Keyleth = Talons of Veylan (gains for slaying dragons), Karma = Scales of Eldath (gains for peace). The Council of Waterdeep page's listing of Karma under Talons is the error.
• "Defender" vs "Justicar": S43 called Xanphina's R2 promotion "Defender," but her boon ("Rally the Line") is the R2/Justicar trait. Decide whether to keep "Defender" as her R2 title or adopt the guide's "Justicar."
• Worksheet spellings normalized: "Iskrathralax" → Iskralathrax; "Castle Naeyrtar" → Castle Naerytar.
